Kristen Stewart is an American-born actress. Born in April 9, 1990 and raised in Los Angeles, California, she’s the daughter of John Stewart, a television producer working for Fox and a stage manager, and Jules Mann-Stewart who is a script supervisor by profession. Kristen rose to fame for starring in the Twilight movies, where she played the character Bella Swan. She also appeared in other movies like Panic Room (in 2002), Zathura (in 2005), The Messengers (in 2007), Snow White and the Huntsman (in 2012). Her latest film On The Road was released in 2012.
Kristen first breakthrough in Hollywood as a child actor came when she played the diabetic daughter of single mother, played by Jodie Foster in Panic Room in 2002. The thriller earned her a nomination for the Young Artist Award for her performance. After Panic Room’s success, she starred in another 2003 thriller movie, “Cold Creek Manor”, playing the daughter of Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone. Kristen got nominated again for a Young Artist Award for her performance. During that time, she started homeschooling because her busy schedule was affecting her grades. In 2005, Kristen appeared in the fantasy-adventure movie, “Zathura”, where she played the character Lisa, and in 2007, she appeared as teen Lucy Hardwicke in “In the Land of Women”. Stewart also appeared in smaller films like in the Adventureland (2009) and in her latest release On The Road in 2012.
Kristen’s big break as an actress came on November 16, 2007, when Summit Entertainment selected her to play the main role, Bella Swan with Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen), in the movie Twilight, which is based on the best selling vampire romance novel with the same name by Stephenie Meyer. On November 21, 2008, Twilight was released domestically receiving mixed reactions from the critics with some saying her character was “the ideal casting choice”, while other labeled her performance as “wooden”, “lacking facial expression” and “blank”.
Later, Kristen returned in the following Twilight sequels as Bella Swan in the 2009, “New Moon” and 2010 “Eclipse”. On November 18, 2011, the fourth installment of the franchise, “Breaking Dawn, Part 1”, was released, followed by the final Twilight film, “Breaking Dawn, Part 2”, in November 2012. On June 1, 2012, Snow White and the Huntsman was released, where Kristen played the Snow White alongside Chris Hemsworth.
Kristen was ranked number one on “2010?s Top Hollywood Top Earners List” by Vanity magazine. She also ranked number one Forbes magazine’s “Hollywood’s Best Actors for the Buck” list on December 6, 2011. Forbes also said that Kristen was the highest paid actress with total earnings of $24.5 million in 2012. She also ranked No.7 Top 99 Women list in 2013 by AskMen. In January 13, 2012, Kristen became the face of Balenciaga’s “Florabotanica” fragrance.
Kristen dated her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson for four years, but they split up in 2013 following allegations that she cheated on him by having a brief affair with movie director Rupert Sanders became public.
