Robert Anthony Rodrigez was born 06.20.1968. in San Antonio, Texas as son of Mexican American parents, his mother Rebecca Villegas was a nurse and father Cecilio Rodríguez a salesman. He is American film director, producer, editor and screenwriter. He began to have inrrest in film at age 7 when his father bought VCR and camera. Robert produces many movies in native Texas and Mexico and one of his movies are “Desperado”,”From dusk till down”, “Spy Kids”, “Sin City” and “Machete”. His best friend is Quentin Tarantino, also film director and actor in Rodriguez movies.
