Actress Julia Roberts has over the years emerged as one of the more prolific female actresses out there. She is versatile and can truly own a role and her fans can see her do that and more when she appears in the upcoming movie Mirror, Mirror.”Julia hails from Smyrna, Georgia and acting comes naturally for her since she comes from a family of actors. She has two other siblings and they too have been bitten by the acting bug. Julia’s original plan was to go to school to become a veterinarian; however she decided to follow her siblings to New York City after her high school graduation.

Once in New York, Julia got her first break into television when she starred in the series “Crime Story”. She also starred in the movie Mystic Pizza back in 1988 where she played Daisy, a vulnerable character. The following year Julia got a big break in her career when she appeared in “Steel Magnolias,” a movie that put her in the lineup for an Academy Award nomination.“Pretty Woman” back in 1990 was also a big blockbuster movie for Julia who played opposite noted actor Richard Gere. Julia’s convincing role in that movie also earned her a nomination for Best Actress as well. A series of great movies starring Julia followed. They included “The Pelican Brief” “Runaway Bride” and “Eric Brockovich”, the latter which earned her an Oscar award.
