Vanessa Hudgens is best known for her role as “Gabrielle” on the modern day “Grease” type show called “High School Musical” on Disney Channel but she has been performing as early as the age of eight. She was born Vanessa Anne Hudgens on December 14, 1988 in Salinas, California and she and her family later moved to Los Angeles after Vanessa was given the opportunity to appear in a commercial. Vanessa’s first taste of entertaining the crowd was performing at musicals. She started acting when she starred in films such as “Thirteen”  and in “Thunderbirds” where she played Tintin. Back then Vanessa was fortunate enough to be paired with actor Brady Corbet.

The Disney hit “High School Musical” was one of the more successful shows that Vanessa has ever done. The original show spun two more movies in the series and they also produced memorabilia some of which were dolls made in the image of her character.For “High School Musical” Vanessa won the “Best Chemistry” award along with co star and then boyfriend Zac Efron at the Teen Choice Awards. Vanessa is  currently one of the top earning celebrities under the age of 21. Her success came heavily from the book series which evolved from the hit musical show.
